The Day’s Final Breath — Saddle Tor

As the sun sinks across Dartmoor, the final warmth of the day spreads across the open moorland surrounding Saddle Tor. A solitary windswept tree stands among the granite and rough grasses, silhouetted against a delicate sky of soft gold, pink and blue.

The tree immediately caught my attention — shaped by its exposed position and standing quietly against the vast landscape. Beyond it, the last light reflects from the distant water, adding another small moment of colour before daylight disappears.

Photographed on Dartmoor, Devon, England by Roy Anderson.
