Photography has always been about more than simply taking a picture for me. It is about being there — waiting for the light, exploring the landscape, and capturing those brief moments when everything comes together.
I’m Roy Anderson, a photographer based in Devon, with a particular love for the landscapes of the British countryside. Dartmoor has been a constant source of inspiration, from its ancient tors and windswept moorland to its woodland, rivers and quiet hidden places. My photography has also taken me further afield, including the beautiful landscapes of the Peak District and the British coast.
My work is centred primarily around landscapes, woodland, water and the coast, although I also enjoy photographing birds and animals when a subject catches my eye. Whatever I photograph, my aim remains the same: to create images with atmosphere, character and a genuine sense of place.
Every image in this collection began with a real moment behind the camera. Some involved careful planning and patience; others came from simply being in the right place when something special happened. I believe those experiences are part of what gives a photograph its story.
The photographs offered here have been personally selected from my collection and prepared as fine art wall pieces.
